AD OF THE DAY
Yes! Next week we have the “Internet Advocacy Roundtable - A Great Web Campaign or the Greatest?” to start the first leg of The Big Look Back.
Alan Rosenblatt of I Am Progress, the sage presider of monthly tech gabfests throughout the last few historic years at Center for American Progress HQ, convenes the one event (well, one of two) we have all been waiting for. Next of course, we want to hear from the folks who drove these things for Obama and McCain campaigns. But really -- is it polite to be greedy?
Information about this month’s roundtable event is here.
The Media Trust Company is providing the panel with web display ads from Obama and McCain. We have some eye-poppers.
The panel is really promising:
Jose Antonio Vargas, Washington Post - - won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize in part for covering the Virginia Tech shootings by using Facebook to find and interview student witnesses
Kim Hart, Washington Post - author of washingtonpost.com IT Blog
Joel Berg, Campaigns & Elections/Politics - in addition to politics he writes about banking, finance, technology and general business as a Pennsylvania-based freelancer
Sarah Lai Stirland, Wired.com - recently wrote extensively about McCain's struggle with copyright infringement charges in its YouTube videos
Micah Sifry, techPresident.com
Andrew Rasiej, techPresident.com
Michael Whitney, techPresident.com
If you would like to watch this event live, click here. They typically videotape these events and will post the video here when it is ready.
See you at the Roundtable, however you get there!
