AD OF THE DAY
Consistency. It’s one of the hallmarks of the Obama campaign’s use of the web. Take display ads and the latest example, the Indiana primary.
Back at the start of April, well before the Pennsylvania primary, he was up and advertising in Indiana in order to beat the deadline for voter registration. The election is now in eight days. Now he is up with ads to help people find their early voting polling place. New ads have been running since late last week in Indiana local domains:

This tack started way back in the winter, and continued in state after state during his string of caucus and primary victories in Nevada, Virginia, Missouri, and Wisconsin. It persisted, up to and including the narrower contests (delegate-wise) in Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania. This strategy is part of an effort that made Obama what he is today: still the prohibitive front-runner for the Democratic nomination. Something else we can learn from the Obama campaign: They made up their mind what works, they have the results to support their opinion, and so they stick to it. The record number of newly-registered Democratic voters tells us something is working.

Hoosier-nomics: Obama sticking to strategy
